Call To Action – Concealed Fire Sprinklers Data Collection
We are in need of your assistance in a very important data collection effort. The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) is actively gathering data on concealed fire sprinklers to enhance safety protocols. In 2022, the NFPA 25 committee proposed a five-year inspection interval to align with other maintenance activities.
ASHE requests your assistance in gathering data so that we can help the committee develop a practical method for ensuring concealed fire sprinklers remain functional with a balance between thorough inspection processes and practical considerations of cost and effort for facility owners and inspectors.
Our call to action for you is to reach out to the facilities within your chapter to make them aware of this data request and to encourage them to use the excel document to submit their data into the data portal. This data will be the driving factor on establishing the balance of inspections and practical considerations of cost and effort.
If you have any questions about the project, please contact Chad Beebe.
